Mental Health First Aid for Higher Education is a skills-based training that teaches participants how to identify, understand and respond to someone experiencing a mental health and substance use challenge. The program specifically focuses on the unique challenges faced by college students and is designed for students, professors, and other faculty.
Mental Health First Aid® is an evidence-based and peer-reviewed curriculum. Participants who complete all course requirements receive a three-year Mental Health First Aid Certification, certified by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing.
